Summer is nearly upon us, making it the perfect time for shoppers to refresh their warm weather wardrobe if they haven’t already. Acquiring new items can be an expensive task, which is why Boden’s massive spring sale is a godsend. The high street shop has just unveiled a plethora of new styles in its sale, available here, with discounts of up to 60%. Included is the Nina Smocked T-shirt Dress, ideal for wearing during hot weather spells.
Available in regular and long lengths in sizes four to 22, the pink dress is crafted from 100% cotton, ensuring it’s moisture-wicking and breathable. The length is designed to fall above the knee with a comfortable fit that’s neither too tight nor too loose. Typically, the Nina Smocked T-shirt Dress retails at £66, but shoppers can snap it up with a 30% saving for a limited period. With the discount applied, the price drops to £46.60, a saving of nearly £20.
Thanks to its breezy silhouette, the dress is perfect for semi-casual days here in the UK or for exploring quaint streets on holiday. For a chic yet effortless outfit, pair the dress with a pair of sandals like Boden’s Casual Flat Sandals in gold, priced at £90, or the Cross Strap Sliders, currently on sale for £45, down from £90, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Alternatively, White Stuff’s Marianne Linen Blend Midi Dress is £80, available in sizes six to 24. Meanwhile, Nobody’s Child offers the Pink Ruched Kurtis Midi Dress at a discounted price of £55.20, reduced from £69.
Boden’s Nina Smocked T-shirt Dress has garnered three reviews on the company’s website thus far. The first customer wrote: “Really cute, lightweight and flattering. I’m 5’7″, 140 pounds and found the size six fit perfectly. I have broad shoulders and was a little worried about the detail around the neck accentuating them, but it looks cute.”
“Great dress, would buy again,” penned a second shopper. “I bought a size six in this as for the last two years their sizes seem to have got slightly bigger. I bought the green version, it’s a lovely colour and I love the neckline.”
However, the third customer gave the Nina Smocked T-shirt Dress a three-star review due to its ‘too restricting’ nature on a hot day. They wrote: “I thought this would be a great holiday pull-on-and-go sort of dress but, sadly, not.
“The fabric of the dress is perfect for summer – lightweight, won’t crease and the colours are vibrant and gorgeous. The small cap sleeve adds an interesting touch. However, the smocking around the neckline is very tight so it is very heavy – making it feel like you are wearing one of those leather things they put around your shoulders at the hairdresser when you are getting your hair cut? It would be far too restricting for me on a hot summer day.
“The sizing was pretty spot on although I preferred the slightly more fitted size 10 on me rather than the more roomy size 12. The length was pretty good for me – around an inch above the knee. I would have preferred this dress with a slightly narrower smocked width and maybe a boatneck.”
